Trim and millwork options
- Crown molding. Softens the line between wall and ceiling and adds a finished look, from simple profiles to layered crowns.
- Baseboards. Protect the bottom of the wall and cover the gap at the floor. Taller baseboards suit rooms with higher ceilings.
- Door and window casing. The trim that frames openings, often the first thing to update in an older home.
- Wainscoting. Paneling on the lower part of the wall, including board-and-batten, beadboard and raised or flat panels. Durable in hallways, dining rooms and mudrooms.
