Concrete driveways
A concrete driveway gives you a clean, solid surface that does not rut or wash out the way dirt and gravel can. A good concrete drive starts with:
- A prepared base so the slab is supported evenly along its length.
- Slope for drainage so water runs off the drive and away from the house and garage.
- Control joints that guide where the concrete cracks as it shrinks, so cracking stays neat and predictable.

- Site preparation. Clearing, grading, removing old concrete or building up the base.

What is concrete flatwork?
Flatwork is concrete poured flat on the ground rather than as part of a building foundation, such as driveways, patios and shop floors.
Why does concrete have lines cut into it?
Those are control joints. Concrete shrinks as it cures and will crack somewhere, so joints give it a planned place to crack, which keeps cracking neat and less noticeable.
Can you prepare the ground before pouring?
Yes. We handle land clearing, grading and drainage as well as the concrete, so the base and slope can be prepared by the same company.
